Dyanne Belle

My little sister is having a baby and I want to get her and our mom something to celebrate. Do you have any suggestions?

-- Sara, soon to be aunt

Of course we do. A mom herself, Deb Schecter, founder of Dyanne Belle creates the chicest teeny charms that we have not taken off since day we got them.  Originally designed to keep her own kids “close to her heart,” Deb’s initial charms quickly took off and have a cult-like following. “I like to think of them as modern day charm bracelets. They grow as your family grows. I have moms and grandmothers sending their necklaces back to add their second, third, fourth child.

Samantha Brown

We would love to take a quick trip without our children for a long weekend in October. Ideally, within the U.S. would be perfect, although we are open to suggestions! Looking to relax, unwind and have some alone time together!

-- Jessica, mom to 3 year old twins, Ellie and Miles

When chatting with Samantha Brown, travel goddess over at the Travel Channel, she came up with the perfect trip.  “How about a long weekend in Coastal Maine?  October is a beautiful month with fall foliage possibly upstaging Maine’s gorgeous rocky coast.  Rockland is the perfect place to stay, a small fishing village with wonderful shops and the Farnsworth Museum dedicated to three generations of Wyeth’s -America’s most treasured artists.  Be sure to stay at the Berry Manor Inn.  From all appearances it’s the loveliest Inn you have ever seen but the Husband and Wife team along with their two mom’s add a little hilarity and entertainment to the mix.  A not to missed dining experience is Primo, with a Garden and Greenhouse out back the restaurant goes for the freshest ingredients possible.  Don’t miss Sunday $1 oyster night!  Best restorative activity a two hour train ride on Maine’s Eastern Railroad-vintage cars that amble along the craggy, mysterious rocky coast of Maine revealing small little bays and fishing villages all in their Autumn splendor-with neither you or your husband driving you can both kick back and relax the way you deserve.  Have a wonderful time!"
