Move over Silly Bandz, there’s a new game in town
No one is exactly sure how it happens. But once in a blue moon a new trend hits and spreads like wildfire. And, according to 3 of the most stylish girls on our pint size social panel (Emmie, Olivia and Phoebe) Jac Vanek‘s rubber bracelets are quickly taking up residence where their Silly Bandz once were.
Just about 3 years ago Jac Vanek created her first “RUTHLESS” bracelet and gave a few to friends. They told their friends and so on. Cut to this summer and our pint-sized trend experts are singing her praises. “I love the Bestie Pair” says Emmie, 10. “I wear one and gave the other to a friend”. Olivia, also 10, goes on to say she likes to wear them in pairs of 2. “They look cute that way” she says. And, Phoebe, 8 has taken to wearing one on her ankle, “to be different”.
When we asked the girls how they found out about Vanek’s bracelets, they quickly told us they saw older girls wearing them this summer at camp. Her bracelets are selling out (some are limited-editions and are increasingly hard to find) and come with some inspiring words for our impressionable girls. Our favorite? The LET IT BE bracelet, $10.
